New Zealand Cricket (NZC) have included Mark Chapman in their ODI squad against Pakistan after he played a match-winning knock in fifth T20I.
Chapman played a match-saving knock against Pakistan in the final T20I of five-match series. He was dropped at 67 in 14th over which helped him get to his maiden T20I century. New Zealand chased down 194 runs to draw the series 2-2.
Following his stellar run in the last T20I, NZC decided to give him a call for ODIs too during the ongoing tour. With the inclusion of Chapman, the New Zealand squad now has a strength of 16 members.
New Zealand's head coach Gary Stead said: "Chapman performed really well in the T20I series. Due to his performance in T20Is, we have included him in the ODI series."
"He played exceptionally well against one of the toughest bowling attacks. His century in last T20I was special."
It must be noted here that Chapman scored the highest 290 runs in the T20I series.
